About Me

happyinca: The aim of my blog is to examine and share my experience as a lifelong dieter, and now, as a weight maintainer. Since January 2014 I have lost approximately 100 pounds using Optifast 70 products and by attending weekly counseling and education classes that helped me learn about my eating behaviors, and taught me new strategies. This has been a positive, life-changing experience for me. I am now shifting my focus to physical fitness -- building muscle and running farther. I'm not going to give up on overcoming food addiction, and I realize that it will be a lifelong process of awareness and developing new strategies around food. I want to have fun and be healthier! As I write this blog, I look forward to exploring my food addiction with humility, and in the company of others who are sharing this adventure with me.
